There are a few (okay, several) things I always keep in my pantry and these are things that have saved me time and time again.

Peppermint tea and essential oil is on that list.

It’s been my quiet hero, my personal reset button, and my go-to for comfort.

From easing my stomach after a questionable takeout decision to clearing my sinuses when a cold had me feeling miserable, peppermint tea has never let me down.

Now I’m not saying it’ll solve all your problems, but it’s provided me more comfort than you’d think!

Here’s why:

1. My Go-To for Digestive Relief

I remember one evening after a big dinner out, it was delicious and rich BUT far too much.

I sat on the couch, regretting every bite, clutching my stomach, wondering why I never learn. And the thing is, I never seem to learn! Will I?

I stumbled to the kitchen, bent over, holding my stomach for dear life, and I quickly reached for some peppermint tea.

A few sips in, the discomfort started melting away. Placebo? Maybe, for how fast it works for me.

Soothing? Definitely.

Peppermint’s natural ability to relax the digestive tract is a lifesaver.

It soothes bloating, reduces indigestion, and brings a sense of relief that feels almost magical. It also helps toots. wink wink

2. My Escape from Stress & Anxiety

Life gets overwhelming. I have no idea how we are all functioning the way we are, but damn we’re doing a great job.

Most days.

Deadlines pile up, notifications never stop, and my mind races even when I desperately need it to slow down. On those nights, I turn to peppermint tea.

The menthol works wonders for me.

It’s weird, as soon as it hits my nose, I feel a sense of calm. It’s my pause button. The deep breath I sometimes forget to take.

The moment the warmth hits my hands, I feel the stress begin to loosen its grip (it has Velcro attached to it). My nervous system likes it, too.

I like to rub peppermint EO on my temples as well!

Whenever I have a hormonal migraine or just a headache, it provides so much relief.

3. The Breath Freshener That Never Fails

Ever been in a situation where you realize, just a little too late, that your breath is less than ideal? I have.

And let’s just say, chewing gum isn’t always an option.

That’s when peppermint tea steps in.

Naturally antibacterial and refreshingly crisp, it leaves me feeling fresh and confident with no awkward gum disposal necessary.

4. My Late-Night Comfort Without the Caffeine

Tea is great. Until it’s midnight, and you’re wide awake, regretting that last cup.

That’s why peppermint tea is my evening go-to. It’s warm and soothing, yet it won’t keep me up.

On cold nights, when I need something to wind down, it’s my perfect companion.

5. My Cold & Sinus Remedy

I can’t count the number of times peppermint tea has been my saving grace during cold season.

When congestion hits, and every breath feels like a battle, I hold my cup close, letting the menthol-infused steam do its work. With every sip, my sinuses open up, my headache eases, and I can finally breathe again. This applies to peppermint EO as well.

On those really tough days where both my nostrils are CLOGGED, I add a few drops to a pot of boiling distilled water and inhale that baby. It’s like a warm soothing hug for your nose.

6. My All-Natural Medicine Cabinet

Headaches, nausea, stomachaches, healthier hair, yup, peppermint tea and essential oil has been my answer to them all.

Instead of immediately reaching for medicine, I reach for a cup first. Packed with antioxidants and antibacterial properties, it’s a simple, natural remedy that I can always count on.

I love to mix peppermint essential oil with coconut oil, jojoba oil, Amla oil, or rosemary oil for its shine enhancing and strengthening properties.

It feels so good on my scalp!

The Verdict?

When it comes to pantry essentials, peppermint tea is at the TOP (with a few others I’ll tell ya about later).

It’s my comfort drink, my headache cure, my stress reliever, and my go-to when I just need a moment to myself. It’s the kind of staple you don’t just keep in the pantry, you rely on it.

So next time you’re stocking up, make sure to grab a box. Trust me, you’ll thank yourself later.
